A Love for Local
Growing up in Idaho with a love of film and a severe lack of access to it inspires all that we do.
Boise Film Festival strives to bridge the gaps and support any kind of film initiatives throughout Idaho with a focus on youth groups and local talent as well as working with senior citizens to embolden and broaden their film experiences. Our current programs, Movies that Move and our Picture Perfect Poster design contest and annual Auction are examples of the ways in which we strive to involve all communities in our year-round events.
Do you want to get involved? Or maybe you have an idea of how to better our programs or how else to reach out within the community and inspire great films? Email us!
And keep up to date by subscribing to our newsletter today!
Additional, smaller initiatives focusing on specific local-to-Idaho groups are included below.
In addition, our Senior Connections program works to bring our senior community members to all of our events - for FREE. You've worked hard your entire life to sit back and relax - we'd like to provide you with the opportunity to do so in front of the big screen.
Are you a senior interested in film? Did you find yourself finally celebrating Leonard DiCaprio's Oscar this past year with a few of your other film-obsessed friends? Or maybe you're retired and want to get further involved with the local film community?
During our annual Film Festival, we offer retired and still active seniors (ages 60+) the opportunity to enjoy a FREE afternoon screening of select Festival films! This is a chance to socialize, meet other seniors, and get valuable information on programs and opportunities to fill your golden years with film.
