At the Fork Film Screening

Treasure Valley Food Coalition is partnering with the Boise Coop, the Boise Farmers Market, the Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticide, the Idaho Organization of Resource Councils and Idaho's Bounty to bring the critically acclaimed film "At the Fork" to Boise on June 27th. The film will be screened one night only at the Flicks Theater. Show time will be 7PM. There will be a no host "meat" and greet starting at 6:30 where you can mix and mingle with local meat producers and Boise restaurateurs who are serving local meat. A Q&A with that same group will follow the film.

Filmmaker and omnivore John Papola, together with his vegetarian wife Lisa, offer up a timely and refreshingly unbiased look at how farm animals are raised for our consumption. With unprecedented access to large-scale conventional farms, Papola asks the tough questions behind every hamburger, glass of milk and baby-back rib. What he discovers are not heartless industrialists, but America's farmers - real people who, along with him, are grappling with the moral dimensions of farming animals for food. (IMDB)

Tickets are on sale now and can only be purchased from Tugg, they are not available at the Flicks Box Office.
